| | | So Tired of Left Overs | | I just looked in my fridge for something to eat for lunch. It's full of food. Full of food I am tired of eating. Leftovers from last week (actually two weekends ago)when we had out of town guests. Meatloaf, roast, brats, corn, american bbq, koren bbq, green bean casserole, hotdogs, pink monster, mississippi mud pie to name a few. We've been eating and eating. I just heated up a piece of meatloaf, then crumbled into tortilla with some cheese to make a burrito out of it. How desperate is that to have something different? But I don't want it to go waste. | |

| | Gifts in the Small Hours | | My daughter works for a catering company and often works late into the night (she hopes because they pay better after midnight). Last night she staggered home from a private function clutching a huge cardboard box. Being a caring daddy I had waited up for her. "Look at this" she said prising the top off the box. A whole catering size Mississippi Mud Pie lurked within. I know what we shall be eating for desert for the rest of this week! Do you get any "interesting" freebies from your work? | |
| | back from shopping | | Whew I had to go grocery shopping, and I hated it but we had NO food in the house, I mean we'd hae been lucky to get a meal of pasta out of what we have in the house so off ot the nearest box and safe to get food 179.00 later and not to much frivolous (a case of tuna a case of mac and cheese) fish and hotdogs stuff like that but we now have food and I can now make dinner and the thing is its do blasted hot, that I really don't want to cook anything so most likely it will be left overs tonight for dinner.Do you hate grocery shopping, especially when you have no food in the house?WE did buy a couple ice creams that we didn't plan on, the Bryers fried ice cream, and a bryers chocolate mud pie, unloaded, is what I think they were....Do you hate grocery shopping, especially when you have no food in the house?
